UNUM Collaborative
UNUM Collaborative (pronounced ooh-nuhm and meaning "one") is a botique architecture firm based in Denver, Colorado.
When working on UNUM's branding, I wanted to craft something that reflected their architectural style, with its emphasis on lines and geometry. And so UNUM’s logo was crafted using rectangles and circles exclusively. Various sizes of rectangles and two sizes of circles were used to build and create the logo mark.
The construction of the logo was inspired from geometric shapes, architectural forms, and curves, leading to a really dynamic, yet balanced and stable form.
“E pluribus unum”, which is Latinfor “Out of many, one”, is found inthe motto of the United States.It refers to the unity of individualstates to form one nation. Thestems of the letters were mergedtogether in a way that combinesthem into one connected area,emphasizing the meaning behindthe word Unum, which is one.
